Ancaster Mill Winter Wedding

Lisa + Tyler

LIsa + Tyler had an amazing winter wedding at the Ancaster Mill in Ancaster, Ontario.

I started my day hanging out with Tyler and his identical twin brother (not going to lie, I almost got them mixed up a couple times during the day) as everyone got ready in their townhouse. From there it was off to meet up with Lisa and her girls at her parents house as she had the finishing touches of hair and make up done. Once the dress was on it was time for a really nice reveal with her dad.

The ceremony was held at the chapel on the grounds of the Ancaster Mill. They did a fantastic job with the construction of the chapel, everything you could want in a ceremony venue1 After the ceremony we staid in the chapel for some family pictures and then braved the cold for some winter portraits on the beautiful grounds of Ancaster Mill.

Dinner and speeches were fantastic, Tyler’s brother doing his best to embarrass Tyler! Lisa had great choreographed dances with both Tyler and her dad to kick off the party!

Angus Glen Winter Wedding

Anita + Gehan

Anita + Gehan had a beautiful winter wedding at the Angus Glen golf club in Markham just north of Toronto, Ontario.

These two planned a wedding while simultaneously moving to Buffalo to start new careers… and then jetted off to South Asia for an extended 6 week honeymoon (and family visit!)

Spent the morning with Anita and her family who are some of the nicest people you meet! This wedding was truly an international affair with people flying in from all over the world.

Anita had a really stunning pair of Jimmy Choo’s for her wedding, I’m not a shoe guy (or a dress guy, or a flowers guy) but even I was impressed by those shoes!

Anita + Gehan were planning on getting their rings custom made on their honeymoon so one of the most touching moments of the day was when Anita’s father presented Anita with her grandmothers (I think??? I need to take better notes) wedding ring to use.

After some toasts with family and a few traditions, everyone packed into the limo in the rain/snow and off to Gehan’s family church of St Barnabas Catholic Church in Scarborough, Ontario. The ceremony was really nice, the priest did a brilliant job of getting some humour in the sermons… something that doesn’t always happen but is always appreciated by me!

After some hugs and congratulations it was back into the limo for the drive up to Markham and Angus Glen Golf Club where we spent some time getting portraits of Anita + Gehan and their families. The reception in the Great Room was fantastic, featuring some awesome speeches, great traditions, a truly kick ass cake made by Anita’s mom and a great party on the dance floor!

Markham Museum Wedding

Jennifer + Andrew

Jennifer + Andrew threw one hell of a party for their wedding at the Markham Museum a couple weeks ago and I was thrilled to be there to photograph it all.

And hats off to these two, planning an entire wedding from 3000 miles away in Alberta and pulling it off perfectly!

After everyone spent the morning getting ready, we all met up at the Markham Museum.  I had never been to the Markham Museum but I was really impressed with the historic buildings and beautiful setting was great for portraits of the family and wedding party.

Dodging the sudden downbursts we get their first look out of the way amongst the historical buildings of the museum and then gathered the family and wedding party for some portraits.

The outdoor ceremony was touch and go for a while there with threatening rain clouds but they held off and we had a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony!

Jennifer + Andrew were lucky enough to have some friends sing and perform during the ceremony, they did an amazing job!

The dinner was in intimate family style affair under canvas that featured some really amazing and heartfelt speeches and a tennis ball autographed Genie Bouchard....still not sure I 100% believe that one.  :)

After their first dance everyone, and i mean EVERYONE, hit the dance floor for a great party.

I've posted some of my favourite wedding images above and you can check out the full slideshow below!
